Heart of the Mission: Bagwells in YWAM Discipleship Training
“The Lord is really humbling me,” J.R. said. “I seriously thought coming here I was going to be a gift for others and be able to help them out. I had no idea that I was going to be the one learning so much.”
“The Lord has been stripping me of things and eventually it will bring me to this place of pure vulnerability with Him,” Ashley said. “He showed me that I am holding my heart so He can’t fully get to it. He is bringing me out of this place of controlling and bringing me to a place of trusting.”
The Bagwells, who have been married just a year and a half, are participating in YWAM’s Fire and Fragrance Discipleship Training School, where they will spend a total of 12 weeks in a university setting before heading out to the Middle East for short term missions.
They said they have a strong desire to go out and tell people about Jesus.

GAC's J.R. and Ashley Bagwell are at Youth with a Mission's Fire and Fragrance Discipleship Training School in Hawaii. They will be serving on a short term mission trip to the Middle East once their training is complete.
“Our hopes and dreams for our mission trip is to preach the simple Gospel, to let God love us, pray and intercede for the nations and love people,” Ashley said.
The Bagwells are scheduled to return to Montana in June, and beyond that, Ashley said, they are not certain what the future holds.
“For us, following Him is our future and there is nothing outside of that.”
Though they were able to raise most of their finances before leaving for YWAM, Ashley said they are still in need of support for their missions trip.
Anyone interested in contributing can do so on the Bagwell’s blog at http://jrandashleyb.blogspot.com, contact Glendive Alliance or Ashley’s mother, Betty Lou Eggert.
“Thanks to everyone for your prayers and financial support,” Ashley said.
GAC’s Carly Diede also is serving with YWAM; she is currently part of a short term missions team in South America.
